Climate is a very important factor in determining the distribution and long-term survival of our "limestone" plants.

However, the climate varies greatly between our limestone barrens in the south (ie. on the Port au Port Peninsula) and those in the north (ie. at the northern tip of Newfoundland, on Belle Isle, and on the "Labrador Straits").
