Henry Mann has collected plants in our "limestone" regions
for many years.
As professor of biology and curator of the herbarium [now retired] at Sir Wilfred Grenfell
College [now Grenfell Campus, Memorial University of Newfoundland], Henry's botanical interests have
included both vascular plants and the peculiar
"vascular-plant-like algaes" called "stoneworts".
Many of our stoneworts are found in "lime-rich" waters.

A member of the Newfoundland Rare Plant Project, and former member of the
Limestone Barrens Species at Risk Recovery Team (LBSARRT), Henry continues to
communicate his passion for the "limestone" regions - especially Burnt Cape.
